CANTON, GA. (March 18, 2007) – The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce has unveiled a new website. Designed to improve navigation and searchability, there is more information than ever before located at www.CherokeeChamber.com.
“The site contains community information for both newcomers and visitors to Cherokee County. It also provides a resource for businesses that are either involved in the Chamber currently, or are looking to enhance their business,” commented Dale Morrissey, 2008 Board Chair and Senior VP of First Cherokee State Bank.
New Chamber programs are also prominent on the site. From job listings, to a professional consultant’s initiative to a bowling tournament, you are just a click away from learning more. “The Job Board will be an excellent resource for Chamber members to promote employment opportunities, as well as for job-seekers to learn of local openings. Details about this effort will be sent to Chamber members in the coming weeks,” said Betsy Decker, Chamber VC for Economic & Small Business Development and owner of Betsy’s on Main Street in downtown Woodstock.
Designed by Studio SR, with photography provided by PhotoJack.net, the Chamber’s site is destined to attract on-lookers. “With over 1.5 million hits in 2007, our visitor count should increase due in part to the site’s blog component which enhances our search engine presence,” noted Paula Williams, the Chamber’s Director of Research & Communications.
One of the most frequently used elements of the site is the on-line membership directory. “Featured on the main page, Find a Member allows you to search for Chamber member businesses by type or name. You can contact members via e-mail, view their website or locate the company on a map,” said Pam Carnes, Chamber President & CEO.
If your business is not a member of the Chamber, you are invited to become a part of Cherokee County’s largest and strongest business-to-business network. A not-for-profit organization founded over 37 years ago, the Chamber is a highly proactive and visible influence in Cherokee County. While the majority of member businesses have ten or less employees, the Chamber provides a forum for businesses of all sizes and types. The mission of the Chamber is to promote business and the community, while expanding the economy and enhancing the quality of life. Membership information is available on-line at www.CherokeeChamber.com.
