Jason Nelms, owner of  Everlast Synthetic Products, is the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce March Entrepreneur of the Month. Jason has been a member of the Chamber since 2008 and has been in business in Cherokee County for the past five years.

Everlast Synthetic Products, located in Woodstock and owned/operated by Jason Nelms, is a leading manufacturer of vinyl sheet piling for seawalls, bulkheads, retaining walls, and lake walls

An active member of Rotary International, International Infrastructure Group and a board member for Torque Products, Jason is a member of the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2010. On a personal note, Jason and his family are advocates for Huntington’s Disease and Jason was named Kennesaw State University’s Emerging Business Leader in 2006.

February’s Entrepreneur of the Month, Linda Lullie, owns Inspired 2 Design, an advertising agency and graphic design company located in Cherokee County.  The company strives to provide affordable advertising, marketing advice, and services to small, medium, and start-up businesses, and to take everyday graphic and website designs to the next level in order to WOW the target market.

Linda has actively tried to give back to the community by co-organizing and participating in Free Business Start Up Seminars.  She has provided pro-bono websites for community and non-profits including Drug Free Cherokee, Baby & More Thrift Store and the Ball Ground Business Association.  Linda has also assisted non-profits and various churches with website development. Networking group participation includes membership in the Ball Ground Business Association and South East Cherokee Business Network.

Linda has been actively involved in the Cherokee County Chamber since 2007 participating in several of programs including the RSVP Mentor Program, Business Expo, Chairman’s Council, Leadership Cherokee and attending events including Good Morning Cherokee, Business After Hours, and BLASTT workshops.

The Chamber’s 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year originally opened her business in 1993 and since then she has continued to invest in children’s programs through business expansions in both 2003 and 2004.  All of her ‘worlds’ have been tied together with the corporate name:  World of Kids Athletic Campus where diverse programs in gymnastics, cheer, swim instruction, camps and birthday parties are held.  Her Chamber involvement includes the Education Committee, Principal For A Day, Career Fairs and the former Spelling Bee.  Laura is also involved with the Chamber’s entrepreneur efforts through the Business Mentor Program known as RSVP – Resource Services for Valuable Professionals.  On a community-wide level, she supports organizations such as the Anna Crawford Children’s Center, March of Dimes, Scouts, local Service Leagues, CHOICES and the Boys and Girls Club where she serves on the Executive Board. 

The Chamber’s 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year, on a leap of faith, left corporate America back in 2002 for a quaint side street office in the heart of historic downtown Canton where he continues to provide creative-driven advertising and graphic design services for local businesses who need to either establish or improve their image – just as he did for companies such as Delta and Kimberly-Clark during the early years of his career.  Alan Thompson has grown to be a trusted source for clients who know the value of creating smart advertising that achieves results.  Through his involvement in the Chamber’s Entrepreneur Friendly efforts, he worked with staff members and volunteers of both the Chamber and Development Authority of Cherokee County to develop the ‘I’ve Walked in Your Shoes’ campaign.  From the Board Room to the Family Room, Alan Thompson’s creativity is apparent.  Whether through development of a company’s image or in advertising seen by residents scanning local magazine ads, the work of MOJO Productions is at the forefront.
