LEADERSHIP CHEROKEE CLASS OF 2012 NAMED
CANTON, GA. (January 31, 2012) – The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce has selected the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2012. This 24th Anniversary Class was chosen following their participation in a nomination, application and interview process.
The 17 class members traveled to Brasstown Valley Resort for their Retreat. The group participated in both indoor and outdoor team building exercises that enabled them to learn not only about each other, but themselves through a look at personality types and communication styles”, said Jeff Rusbridge, Leadership Cherokee Steering Committee Chairman and Dyer & Rusbridge, PC.
Over the next nine months, the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2012 will participate in a broad range of sessions that will focus on a variety of topics such as economic development, infrastructure, government, justice, education, recreation, tourism, public safety, healthcare and social/human services. Chamber President & CEO Pam Carnes commented that the knowledge gained from programs such as these would prepare the class members for a more active role in the community.
Following the nine-months of leadership training, the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2012 will graduate during a ceremony in September.
